I tried cipramil (wrong spelling i think) and was fine on those for a year or more then came off of them because I fell pregnant, after the birth I was panic attack free for over a year, then they came back  I tried cipramil again but was plaqued by their side effects and I honestly dont think id have still been here if I had tried to carry on with them... So I then developed a bit of a fear of taking any antidepressants because I knew I wouldnt handle the side effects...to cut a long story short My doctor has just prescribed me Propranolol 40mg to take once a day but up to 3 times daily if needed, I did the worst thing possible and looked at the leaflet inside describing the side effects and im scared stiff of taking them as I am convinced I will have a heart attack or something! I was wondering if anyone else has tried Propranolol and if they have been ok usuing them or if they have had any bad effects from them... any comments would be welcome and appreciated... thank you for reading my little epic...lol

I have been on 40mg 2x a day for 2 years and have no side effects at all.
(I tried Cipramil and even though I had no side effects from it at all, it didn't do anything for my palpitations). I'm very sensitive with side effects but Inderal (Propropanol) seems to have virtually no side effects in me. It cuts down on all palptiations. Initially I had colds hands for a day or 2. It all started when I daughter fell very ill age 3 weeks and had to have life-saving heart surgery. I was very scared and began to have palpitations all the time! She is 2 now and a bouncing toddler...but her heart condition will always be there. My GP has suggested trying Inderal as a migraine preventation medication for me but the dose would be 80 mg+. Is there anybody on here who has long-term experience with that kind of dose? Vanessa. |
