I`m 31 , live with my girlfriend and her son, and have a daughter from a previous relationship. I work as an aerospace engineer and enjoy playing the guitar/piano, watching films, motorbikes and many other hobbies. I`ve been suffering from anxiety and panic for roughly 2 years. My symptoms include dizziness, headaches, the horrible racing heart beat thing (usually half an hour after i eat) , extreme tiredness, chest pains, tightness in the chest and many others. My doctor gave me beta blockers which i take to stop my heart racing and they help a lot. I`ve had councelling but it only worked for a few weeks. I`ve also had hypnotherapy but again i was only panic free for a few weeks. if anything the symptoms got worse. At the minute, with a positive frame of mind(not easy), the tablets and a loving family i seem to be able to keep the worst symptoms at bay and that allows me to lead a fairly normal life. If i had any advice to fellow sufferers it would be to face your fears and try not to let this horrible condition control you. Take your time and dont allow the rat race of modern life to determine what, how and when you do things. Remember, its YOUR life. I`ve found that when i feel in control of my own life the anxiety isnt as bad. Feel free to get in touch
