Hi All
Around 14-15 months ago, I went to the doctors because I came over all strange.
She diagnosed me with having panic / anxiety attacks and prescribed me some anti depressants.
I came off these about 4 months ago and now I'm starting to get the attacks again.
I started the pills again 2weeks ago but I am worried that it is something else.
I have read up about Delirium Tremens and am convinced that's whats happening to me.
They seem to be the same sort of symptoms and I am now confused.
Can anyone help????

Hi.
Can i just say, thank you so much for replying.
When I read about the Delirium Tremens (Alcohol Withdrawal) I had a panic attack.
I then read a book by Doctor Claire Weekes, it was great.
I had panic attacks all the time but seemed to be able to cope with them.
I then came off the tablets (Fluoxetine), and again, I seemed to be able to cope.
My doctor says that my panic (which is apparently a form of depression) is all down to what i am trying to cope with in life.
My mother has cancer (5th ime so far) and she will never get rid of it. It's now in her only lung and they can not operate. She's doing well with her therapy but still, it plays on my mind every day.
Also, she fell flat on her face the other day and I was one of the first to see her. Imagine seeing your own mother covered from forehead to chin in blood, quite frightening I promise you.
I am getting married (not a bad thing but still a stressful time) in April of this year.
And with all that, we have quite big money worries.
I am 26 and feel like I am going on 40 already.
The reason I mentioned the Delirium Tremens is because I have what seems like the same symptoms;
:!: A feeling of terror
:!: A very numb feeling all over
:!: Pins and needles
:!: Sweating (all over but especially the feet and hands)
:!: Shaky
:!: a need to get away from everything
:!: A feeling of loosing control of myself
Sorry for going on, just worried (panicing).
Again, thank you for the reply.
I definately recommend the book, self help for your nerves, Claire Weekes.
Thanks again!!!!!
