Hi! I'm here to blag a bit of advice I'm afraid!

My boyfriend has suffered from depression for a very long time. But for a while now on top of this he's begun feeling very anxious and stressed. It didn't seem that big a deal at the start but now it's getting bigger than we can really deal with. He is constantly anxious and on a few occassions he has had sort of panic/anxiety attacks. He really doesn't want to take medication, but has been using herbal remedies - at the moment we are trying St Johns Wort for the depression and Passiflora for the anxiety, stress and sleep problems.

I would really welcome any advice that any one can offer, I am aware that it is difficult for someone feeling like this to be proactive in helping themselves, so any tips on how I can help him are also welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ella

I take St Johns Wort as well. I was told that it needs to be the pure natural remedy, which needs to be taken 3 times a day, rather than once. I take all 3 at night before bed and they get to work while I'm asleep.

In the early days, when I was getting attacks every day, I went to a healer and got Bach Flower Remedies. The healer talks to you about your specific issues and then mixes a remedy based on your needs. The remedies are totally natural and you take them by placing drops on your tongue. I also found that Gaia healig (a bit like Rekki) was really helpful.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Don't rely on even natural remedies, the answer isn't in a medication bottle! Why don't you call us or email us at enquiries@panic-anxiety.com, I am sure my counsellors will have a better solution. I am not trying to sell my method here, ok, I am a great believer in its success... I want people to get well primarily and trying to treat symptoms isn't the solution. You should be addressing the cause, that way you will eliminate the underlying anxiety.
