Hello people.

This is of course a voluntary job, but i was thinking that we could do with another supporter to help take some of the workload of handling PMs, moderating and replying to posts. If you know anyone or have professional qualifications in councilling or therapy then it would be great to hear from you.

Well to bring an old post back to the front - I'm old enough .......... but the only qualification I have is experience both personal and I used to be a MHA Administrator a few moons ago but as I've had so much help from this board I am more than willing to give any assistance that I can back!

Maybe we can help each other?

I'm thinking about running courses to help people eliminate anxiety.

With the success I achieve in helping individuals I believe it is very possible to help many people in a group setting. I know most suffers would pay anything to be free from their pain, even so, working in groups will keep their investments down.

When I work with individuals I approach the problem from many different angles at the same time and have seen results in minutes. This sadly does not happen for all my clients, in some cases it takes 2-3 sessions depending on what they are willing to do for themselves.

I'm not interested in helping people cope and hosting a nice day out, I want to make a real, measurable difference. Even though I can measure physiological change the real test is how much better do people feel now!

I would love to be able to do this in a day, maybe a bit too much for suffers?

Would several sessions of a few hours duration be better?

Where are people prepared to travel to?

I've got lots of questions. If this could be done would it interest you and the forum users?
I'm not in a position (at present) to help with quick support through this site (too busy)however if it would help I could write something each month, a tip, suggestion, success story....

Please know there is much that can be done. You just have to keep looking to find it!

Be Well
