Seeing a counselor

Anyway, its about 3am and I'm up b/c it seems despite my spraying my
apartment seems to be some kind of home for homeless spiders. I had left my
suitcases open and some of my clothes in there and also in the closet and I
started going through it around 6pm to pick out something to wear for today
and spiders kept popping out of my clothes! Scared the crap out of me.
Thought I was seeing things at first til they started scurrying. I'm
arachnaphobic but I got braveand started killing some of them but it seems there are a lot outside my door
and out on the porch and windows and must be a nest or something living inside
somewhere. They seem to be all over the place. Yikes! I also must be living
near train tracks b/c I keep feeling/hearing a train go by and then I hear
the horn of the train. If bugs can hear maybe thats why they are coming
inside, lol!

So I'm staying awake the whole night because I'm too paranoid to sleep.
I keep thinking there's one on me, lol. But I'm using my time this a.m. well
and reviewing all my school stuff so they'll be impressed with me tomorrow.
I'm still so exctied I'm going to be in the NC schools!
I will call Markesha tomorrow and go down to the office after work to see
what can be done about spider mania and the trains.

I'm so sorry Laura, I swear I'm not really this much of a pain. I don't
know why all this stuff is happening to me right now.
Maybe I'm just bad luck and need fung shei or something like that in my
life to redirect my postive energy or whatever?

i just want to say that i really feel sympathy for you because it can't be nice being frightened so much when you see spiders.
i think counselling would be extremely beneficial for you because you could be refered to one of those people that help people like yourself to face your fears and reajust the way your mind and body reacts when you see a spider.
i think you must already know what i'm about to say but who knows it may help you on your road to recovery?
spiders are harmless
well at least the ones that find their way into our homes.
they have NO INTENTION OF HARMING YOU IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER.
remember too that all insects do everything by instinct.
so for example if you could summon up the courage i believe you have inside you, you would notice the spider will move away from you because its instincts are warning it of possible danger.
you have instincts too
that is why they kick in whenever you see a spider.
somewhere down the line you may have learnt to fear spiders?
am i correct?
was you possibly bitten or something?
i remember when i was a young boy at school one day and all of a sudden a wasp landed on my desk.
now my first instinct was to pull back and tense up
but then i decided to be brave and i slammed my palm down onto the wasp!
it left it's sting in the palm of my hand and it really hurt!
that day i learnt a lesson...not to do that anymore!
i still panic when a wasp or bee enters into my home but i know that if i just re-adjusted the way i think, i would find that the chances are the wasp would not come near me
because it is busy trying to find it's way out!
so next time you see a spider
remember that it has no intention of hurting you..the only time it will react is if you show sign of doing it harm
then it just instinctively reacts to your actions.
the chances are it is more afraid of you than the other way round!
i really believe that this is a phobia that you can overcome with professional help.
please seek advice asap so that this phobia does not hold you prisoner any longer.
i wish you all the best
and please keep in touch
i'm sure others and I will be interested in the progress you make.

take care
