Women and Men Affected Differently by Workplace Stress

Women appear to be affected more negatively by long hours of working than men, a study a British study funded by that Great Britain's Economic and Social Research Council. The stress associated with working long hours may lead to situations were women “eat more high-fat and high-sugar snacks, exercise less, drink more caffeine and, if smokers, smoke more than their male colleagues,” said a Leeds University researcher. Such stress appears not to affect men in the same way.
