Hello,

As i mentioned in the title im new here, this forum seems to be helpful and reasureing and that is exactly what i need. :)

I have suffered from panic attacks for 1year now, and its gradually getting better.
Although i some times feel a sense of derealisation, my symtoms are more mental than physical.

Feelings of utter terror, feelings of going mad, paranoia and fear of death are some of the few feelings i experience on an everyday basis.

sorry for the life story lol, ill get to the point, does any one ever have feelings of paranoia that you belive its true?

I often think i have cancer or a brain tumor, my girlfriend helps by reasureing me and tells me there are no indications of having some of these horific illnesses, yet you hear of medical mistakes where these illnesses havnt been picked up. what if i havnt really got panic and i have some thing more serious?

any help or advice would be great :)

Hi just to let you know you are not alone in your feelings, when i first started having panic and anxiety attacks i felt exactly the same.
I only had to see an illness on the t.v or read about one in a magazie and i would become certain i had it, i went from cancer to brain tumours, kidney problems, heart problems, you name it i had it, when infact i had none of them.
I sufferered terribly and sometimes still do, i found CBT really helped me.
Freshair, exercise, finding something to keep your mind occupied even if it is just a jigsaw.
I really hope this helps you i some way louise
