More than 700 British military troops returning from Iraq last year were diagnosed with mental health disorders, according to a document released last week in the House of Commons. The document, a response from Armed Services minister Tom Watson to a letter from Conservative Party legislator Phillip Dunne, indicates that 727 troops were diagnosed with psychiatric disorders stemming from their service in Iraq, dating back to 2003. An additional 66 service members had been evacuated by airplane from Iraq due to psychiatric problems, according to Watson. (Dow Jones Newswires, 6/15/06)
