Relaxation CDskendra 11-01-05, 12:57 PM Can anyone reccomend a CD that i can listen to at the end of the day to wind down and de-panic? I have seen lots but i am not ready to buy just anything. Thanks Kendra Jonny5 20-01-05, 11:55 AM i like to listen to some of the old classics by bing, old blue eyes and dean martin, but in terms of proper relaxation Cds i think you can't go wrong with classical music. Pick something that you love and is right for you and i think you will be halfway there. Peter 29-01-05, 03:54 PM Kendra, have u ever felt or experienced what comforts you the most, what enables u to let go of burdening thoughts or believes? If you now would get a microphone or another recording device, and start talking to yourself in the way that you know you need to hear, then that can be a good start. Otherwise, I do also find the Linden Method contains 2 nice visualizations. If you're only after music, you'll have to see what kind suits you best and find some in that genre. Supporter Kate 06-03-05, 09:41 PM i managed to hear the linden method visualisations recently and i was taken aback by how good they are. Absolutely fantastic. i really reccomend them. Peter 06-03-05, 11:02 PM Yes they are fine, good, well, amazing, great. Sometimes it has a greater impact than other days, but that's cuz of myself, they always help though. I listen to the 23 minute one every day before sleeping. In fact, usually I sleep halfway through. Supporter Susan 18-03-05, 02:47 PM thats good to hear - i have heard only good things about the visualisation julieb 18-07-06, 09:01 AM i listen to paul mckenna instant confidence and i do actually think that it works.he tells you all sorts of thingsthat tend to stay with you and i do feel more confident. i also got one from my local health shop called overcoming fears and phobias and no more panic attacks they are ok too.if you would like the address let me know:) clemb 30-08-06, 05:37 AM Can anyone reccomend a CD that i can listen to at the end of the day to wind down and de-panic? I have seen lots but i am not ready to buy just anything. Thanks Kendra www.audionoesis.com offers a great relaxation cd and best of all its a free download. I use it all the time in my ipod. bobette 31-08-06, 08:00 PM I agree with jonny5. I love Tony Bennett and the oldies, they're relaxing but positive at the same time. There's loadsa of cds with ocean sounds and things like that but they get kinda annoying after a while. Bobette x Wannabeloved85 18-09-06, 07:27 PM i just bang on the claccial channel lol or i have started collectin the mind, body, spirit magazine and their free cds are great. i also have Meditation for peace and tranquility by karma karma.... amazing!! its mixed alos, theres some really good calm ones and also some calm but more upbeat tracks thats just brill! i got mine free from aol, but im sure it can be bought somewhere becci x tiptoes 21-09-06, 08:04 AM i like to listen to nature sounds... rustling of winds through leaves, chimes, water rushing down the stream, birds chirping-mountain music.. and at times i get into tibetan chants. they help me unwind and calm down in the evening. Wannabeloved85 29-09-06, 04:47 PM amazing how we can appreciate all these things when were forced to try anything to help us out! Becci x tiptoes 23-10-06, 05:23 AM amazing how we can appreciate all these things when were forced to try anything to help us out! Becci x you said it! bella 08-06-07, 12:41 AM Pan pipe music is very relaxing, in the bath or bed. Chris V 01-07-07, 03:51 PM Sorry Bella, I cant respond to your PMs because I used my quota. PM me again & I'll respond. Just remember the old anxiety proverb "Rational thinking breeds rational behaviour; rational behaviour breeds rational thinking". It's a virtuos circle. Admin please can you explain to Bella why I didn't respond to her PMs. bella 02-07-07, 04:43 PM Hi Chris, I got your e-mail, not long checked them. How are you? I think i may of read some of your posts a while back. Are you the one that used the lindon method to get better? Also are you the one that asked to be banned?! Bella xxx Chris V 02-07-07, 06:20 PM Hello, yes, I was obsessed for a while about getting cured & went off on one a bit, you know obsessively posting/writing PMs. I more or less completely understand now how it all worked for me. I still worry about things quite a lot. I think the worst thing about anxiety is that life's a real struggle, which people don't understand. bella 02-07-07, 07:55 PM You are right there! Especially mornings. You get a crap start to the day, then that sets the trend for the rest of it. So have you come back on the site because your anxiety has returned ? I think the more obssessed we get about finding a cure the further away the cure becomes. I can;t understand why you are worried about the amount of posts and such you left. Thats what the forum is for. It just depends on how and what you posted that would decide if you were obsessive! Bella xx chrissy 02-07-07, 10:08 PM hi bella good luck for tommorrow i will be thinking of i have a gut feeling you will be fine chrissy bella 03-07-07, 12:42 AM Thanks Chrissy! I'm on here late because i'm worrying! I keep thinking what will happen if its bad, the hospital even rung to remind me of my appointment today. For the NHS that must be pretty urgent huh!? Tapping away trying to take my mind off things. I'm off work for the week so if you need a chat PM me. I better try and get some sleep........................ i'm sure your right and its all ok. Bella rabidbadger 03-07-07, 12:51 AM Hi Bella You shouldn't take the fact that the hospital rang as a sign of urgency, more a sign that missed appointments cost them money. Good luck Chris x chrissy 03-07-07, 01:46 AM get some sleep the hospital are just reminding you of your appointment dont worry you will be okay take care your fears are unfonded today is a new day dont worry you are safe chrissy chrissy 04-07-07, 05:09 PM hi everyone bella i was up late last night and i rembered you mentioning for part of here to play games well while we are waiting i found this type it into google the wirral learning grid . draughts hangman etc against the computer i found it distracted me chrissy chrissy 04-07-07, 05:13 PM Hi Bella and everyone sorry type into google The Wirral Learning Grid Online Games Chrissy |
