I'm having a nightmare trying to post messages (hence the angry face). I am a newbe to this. Thought I would let you know a little about myself. Moved to a new job quite far from home last year. I was instructing recruits and putting alot of hours in, v stressfull Around the same time I had a problem with the nerves in my foot and medical people couldnt get to the bottom of it, however I was being told things like Motor Nuron disease etc... it eventually resolved itself however ever since I cant stop worrying about illness and death, so much so that I have been told I am suffering from some sort of anxiety disorder. I cant get my head around it!!! At one point I was worrying so much about death that I thought I was going mad. (I have lost about 8 members of my family over the past 9 years) I get pins and needles in my hands and feet, sore eyes but the worst feeling is the constant light headedness, this never seems to go I dont think I get panic attacks, although a couple of times when in crowds I felt a bit panicy. Cant concentrate like a used to and forget things alot. Can Anxiety effect a person in this way? Feel like it's running my life.
I have been watching this site with interest over the ast few months. You all seem to help each other so much so I thought I would try and benefit from your experience.
rabidbadger 18-07-07, 11:00 PM Hi plod
There is a new anti-spam system in place on the forum and it seems to be a bit sensitive to posts from new members, especially if they contain drug names or anything that could be construed as an advert.
I've not heard about sore eyes being a symptom of anxiety (but that doesn't mean it isn't). All the other symptoms you mention are very common amongst anxiety sufferers.
Please take a look at my site (linked below) there is a page called 'what are these symptoms' that explains why your body reacts the way it does.
Hope this helps.
Chris

rabidbadger 19-07-07, 08:25 AM Hi Linny
A funny thought just crossed my mind when I read your post - I think I spend more time staring at a computer screen now I'm unemployed than I ever did when I was a computer programmer.
Ironic eh?

rabidbadger 22-07-07, 09:50 AM Hi Chrissy
Good to hear you had a fun day.
Maybe you should sell your idea of quitting smoking by shutting-someone-in-a-dustbin therapy to the NHS.

Hi Plod - Sorry I`m so late in replying. Yes, there are some very helpful and understanding folk here. About your sore eyes, maybe because you`re anxious and stressed you`re sleeping badly and that`s the reason?
Let us know how you get on.

Chrissy - you got on a train! That`s brilliant, well done. You`ve inspired me to get on a bus next week (and work up to the train, lol).
Oh, I HATE clothes shopping. Agree with you on the garden centre though ... I spent a fortune on bedding plants this year. The slugs must`ve thought it was sluggy Xmas, grrrr. Pottering around in the garden is very soothing and relaxing. Love your posts, btw.
