Hi ashero

I sometimes feel like it's difficult to breathe if the air is warm and that I have to open the window or I'll run out of air. I always try to console myself with this thought... Even if you were locked in an airtight room the size of a toilet cubicle, there would be enough air in there to last you about 16 hours (give or take).

As for your other question, I don't know of any reason why being overweight might affect anxiety unless you are subconsciously worried about the fact that you are overweight and the health implications that it may have. I do know that a slow metabolism can be caused by thyroid problems and this can also be a factor in anxiety.

Yup, I too hate hot weather at night. Sometimes I wake up gasping for air which is frightening - reckon it must be because we don`t sleep properly when it`s too hot?
I`m overweight and I`m sure if I was happier with my body shape then I wouldn`t be so all round negative and therefore anxious.

Hi,
That's my problem in the summer. I get very nervous being out in the sun on a hot day. I live in an area that gets very warm in the summer. Actually we are having a heatwave now. Today I couldn't go without popping a pill to stay relaxed due to the fact that I wanted to go out shopping. It was supposed to be just an easy-going day without any pressure and just the thought of the hot weather made me freak out.:(
