Hello ~ I`ve been lurking for a while here and seen how helpful and friendly you all are - rabidbadger especially.
Well, my anxiety probably comes from depression. I spent several years as a carer for my mother which killed my self esteem and self confidence. Difficult times, with no other help! I felt I was not in control ...
There are so many comments about panic attack situations with which I can sympathise. One in particular was having to have an `exit strategy`. I haven`t used trains, tubes or buses for a couple of years now because I feel hemmed in. I`m lucky to have a car which I do use frequently, but won`t drive anywhere where there might be a traffic jam and I`m stuck. Feel like I can`t breathe and then panic dreadfully when I can`t get away. Sometimes it`s the same in Sainsbury`s checkout queue, I want to just run!
Sorry to write so much, looking forward to being part of the group and hopefully be helpful to others.
Kind regards to all, Amanda
