Celebrities who have suffered with Anxiety?

Hello,

I am doing a study at college on anxiety, and i am doing some research. Do any of you know of celebrities who have famously suffered from anxiety? I thought it would be a good way to open up the essay. I have got a lot of my research from other sites too but i thought this forum was the best to ask this question.Great site by the way. Very informative.

this is literally a minute percentage of the number of celebrites though, and of course many suffer without telling others.

i knew that oprah suffered. I think that was well documented.

I have to agree with J00ber. David Bowie? thats crazy.

i am not surprised naomi cambell is on that list. she always seems so shy.

It may suprise some people to know that DB was very shy at one time but if you study his songs there are references to isolation and lonliness. One song in paticular called "Conversation Piece" it was on the extra CD disc of the Reality CDif that is not a song about SA I don't know what is.

Nicole Kidman also suffered/suffers

hi everyone ,,

i dont really think that celebs with anxiety disorders really has any bearing on our suffrering because we aree ordinary normal everyday people who unfrtunatly have this condition through no real fault of our own,,,
these celebs are constantly in the news ,,on tv and under so much pressure its almost inevitable that there emotions and fears will come out,


though there is 1 celeb i did feel for,,,((paul gascoine)) an english footballer he suffers with anxiety /panic attacks,,

the moral is i guess we cant compare ourselves to these people,,

i totally agree darren although i do feel that there are times where it can be reassuring to see that there other people - famous and not famous - who have suffered from anxiety.

I believe Barbra Streisand can be added to your list. Her biography indicated that she had a fear of performing which kept her off the "live concert" stage for over 20 years.
