Well done Chrissy, another quote I go by is "the anticipation is always worse than the event" I always worry about how I will be in a situation and by the time it comes around I am a nervous wreck! Once I calmed down and got on with what ever it was I get through the episode with no ill effects! Woo hoo :)

Hi folks

I have a theory that a lot of anxiety has its roots in impatience and a need to do things at a million miles an hour.

We can't wait to see if a situation is scary so we pre-empt that by making it scary beforehand. It's as if there is no distinction between excitement and anxiety.

What do you think?

Chris

I'm doing okish at them moment. Nothing much has happened to give me any real cause for anxiety. Whilst this is good I have felt myself getting worked up about the simple things again so it has been a struggle to keep on track.

I started my fitness regime yesterday and went for a jog! I was sensible about it and made sure I didn't burn out too quick so I got a good 2 mile run/walk.

I have just been told about a wedding that is happening next year so that is my motivation at the moment.

My biggest concern at the moment is that I have got an exam next week for work and that means travelling with a collegue to another city. I've not even thought how I am going to cope yet! I don't want to go by car as I will be nervous about the exam so a car journey would be terrible! I'm tempted to make my own way there by train and I know this will cause a few questions to be asked but it seems my only option. I don't even want to consider pulling out of it altogether
