I have just found this site.
Mr Doctor has ordered a thyroid test - i have had panics for 5+ years.
Can anyone tell me what it involves?

I just had a blood test done to check my thyroid. A normal thyroid's blood test will be inbetween .40 and 5.50, any number above that will be an under active thyroid (hyprothroidism) and any number under those is an over active thyroid ( hyperthroidism), this one is know to have anxiety as a symptom. I believe that both are treated with a pill that has to be taken everyday. There is also blood tests that have to be done every so often to check your levels. I found a lot of info on webmd.com.

Don't be to nervous about the results, even if you have one of these they are very easy to manage, and quite common for people to have.

Hope this helps,

Laura
