Hi Chrissy
It's a good tip for avoiding people and stress but don't forget, it is only reinforcing your false belief that the main street is dangerous in some way.
Well done for going.
Best of luck

rabid badger can you ask questions on this thread like how was your day if you were on here or do you go into somewhere else for that chrissy

Hi Chrissy
You can ask what you like, as long as it is within the boundaries of legality and decency. It's a forum, a place for discussion.
How's your day going by the way? Don't let one failure put you off from trying. Think about how you felt at certain places and why you felt like you had to take a friend - and learn from it. Plus, going with a friend is better than not going at all so it's not really a failure.
All the best

Hi Chrissy
Everyone on this forum knows that 'pull yourself together' is the least helpful thing anyone can say.
Believe me, you will come out of your anxiety one day and you will be more 'together' than they could wish to be because you have had to get to know your mind.
Set yourself a goal for tomorrow - even if it's a small one - and stick to it. Then take a pride in the fact that you've achieved it.
People who don't suffer from anxiety problems can't appreciate how hard it is so you shouldn't take their comment to heart.
Keep your chin up eh?

Hi Chrissy
Don't be so hard on yourself.
If it helps you to air your feelings here then continue to do so. I'm sure many people have similar feelings even if they don't post them.
