Helo everyone!
I suffer from generalised anxiety disorder and depression for more than a year. Lately i've been having headaches with a feeling of fainting and high pressure in my head. I feel pressure also in my nose and sinuses, and I also have pains in my collarbone. I'm emotionally at the bottom, i emotionally attack my closest ones and i think of death and suicide. Please tell me, if you know anything about my condition, doctors only tell me this is normal. I feel like no one cares if i feel like rather dying than sufferwith this further. I'm not the same person anymore. Please help me!:(

Hi Nikki

The feelings of pressure in your head are a common effect of stress and, believe it or not, it is very difficult to faint while your blood pressure is up.

Fainting is an unconscious reaction of the brain when it detects that it is not getting enough oxygen. It is a safety mechanism to remove gravity as a possible obstacle to blood-flow.

When you are anxious your blood pressure rises because your heart is beatig faster and harder, ensuring an adequate flow of blood (and therefore oxygen) to the brain.

Do you do any exercise? It is easy when you are anxious to get into the habit of avoiding exercise because it makes your heart speed up and feels scary, but lack of exercise and inactivity can cause all sorts of aches and pains.

I do some exercises. On wednesday i started to take paroxat instead of cymbalta. I read the instructions and came to conclusion, that i had some major side effects. Do you think so too?

Hi SadFemale

This can sometimes be caused by tension in the neck and shoulders. Do you have a partner that could give you a massage?
