Anxiety documentation

Hi everyone

The internet is littered with documents and articles about anxiety and phobias, some of which are useful to some people while completely useless to other. Some offer practical advice and others offer just reassurance. The problem is, you have to spend hours on-line searching for them.

While I do not recommend that you waste your time searching for symptoms of your anxiety on-line and worrying yourself more, I do appreciate that some people need practical advice and reassurance.

As a (currently unemployed) computer programmer I am thinking of throwing together a simple website that contains links to any useful documentation or articles so that they can all be accessed from a single starting point.

What do you think? Would anybody use this site if it was available?

Obviously this requires an investment of time on my part so I would like your feedback before I do anything.

Best wishes to you all.

Hi Chris

I think that would be a great idea. Whlst I agree that its not helpful (although I think we are all guilty of checking out symptoms at some time or another) It can be reassuring to read articles from other sufferers and indeed lateat advice on helping anxiety sufferers. I for one would try the site as I can never seem to find anythng useful in searches until I have gone through so much spam I've forgotton what I was looking for!

Good Luck

Hi all

I've decided to start this the easiest way possible - as a blog. I have put a few links on there already but I would be grateful if someone else could sign on and check that they can view it ok (and link to the documents) - and post a reply here to let me know.

The address is http:\\anxietylinks.blogspot.com

This will possibly evolve into a fully functioning website if enough people use it.

Also, I will soon be inviting you to send me links to any useful documents/articles you find so be sure to make a note of the URLs of any you come across.

Best wishes

Hi Chris

Just checked out the site and its all functioning well for me. Glad to see there's a few good sites for depression as well. I'll certainly have a good look through when I get a chance. Nice to put a face to the name we see here a lot as well.

Good luck with this

Jayne
