MermaidGirl 19-04-07, 08:36 AM Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knew where I might find a similar forum, but for younger individuals who suffer from anxiety and panic disorders......you know, people in their 20's or so who are either in college or university, or just finishing/finished. I'll still post here, I just don't really feel like I fit in in this forum, because most people here are much older than me, and most of the time, when I post, people don't respond. I just feel like I'd identify better with people who are closer to my own age......I hope you understand.

fadetoblack84 20-04-07, 03:38 PM Heya, I only just signed up to this forum today.
Finally felt it would be better to talk to other people who have the same problems as me.
Anyways, I'm 22 so if you or anyone else wants a chat just message me :)
Hi, I've only just joined this forum. I'm not great at using the internet like this but i'm getting there.
I'm 25 and have suffered with anxiety all my life, but it has become much worse in the last 3 years, how does it effect you?
I suffer with sickness and used have panic attacks quite often but at the moment i have not suffered one for a while now!
So basically i feel sick pretty much every day, worrying about about why i feel sick and if will ever stop, which in turn makes it even worse!!
anyway I won't go on

Travelbug 04-06-07, 08:54 AM Do I still count as young? I'm 27 but have suffered since I was 18.
I think regardless of age anxiety is anxiety, it just may centre around different things. I've post my story under "introduce me". Hopefully we can all help each other.
anxietyqueen 04-06-07, 10:20 PM Hi, I'm 28 - very nearly 29. Hope I'm not too old! :)
I completely agree that anxiety is anxiety regardless of age. I think it's good to talk to people of different ages and backgrounds. See who you feel comfortable with and who you can relate to :)
I've suffered from anxiety and fears for so long now. I hate it - it upsets me and scares me as I think it'll never go or, worse, that it'll get worse.
Has anyone ever suffered from "de-realization"?
Jerseylass 14-06-07, 03:14 PM My daughter suffers from anxiety and sometimes panic attacks and has done for nearly 2 years and she is just 20. We have been trying various options, medical and otherwise. She is on here as kimwaahh if anyone wants to send a msg.

MermaidGirl 13-09-07, 03:50 AM Wow, I'm glad there are so many people my age on here.....the bad news is, though, I've been having more problems with anxiety since I started at a new school after having finished my B.A. last spring. I almost had a panic attack in wind ensemble today, but I might not be able to be exempted from it.

Holly@peace 17-10-07, 02:22 PM Hi i think its really good to talk to people of all ages and back grounds who suffer from panic attacks because then you know you are not alone.I remember when i had my first panic attack at a friends sleepover and i had to go home- i was so embarrassed and thought i was a freak for feeling that way.Now as an adult i know it is much more common than you think!Wish id known about this place when i was 16 though!

I am only 26 and I have only been suffering with Anxiety attacks for the last 4-5 months the worse is over I think when I didn't know what was going on and this is for the guy earlier who asked if anybody has dealt with de-realization yes for me it is one of my worst symptoms that I deal with specially coming back from Iraq. I really like this web page and being able to read what other people are going through and I feel more alive and it gives me hope that there is light at the end of this horrible tunnel. lets keep hope alive guys.
