hi everybody,

well where do i start,

am going through a real hard time, anxiety has gripped me worse than ever, i seem to be always on edge, a full blown panic attack is never far away. my mother and father are fed up listening to me, and am ringing the doctor every week for advice and help.

ok in the last month my doctor, has taken me off diazepam, i have been on this med for seven years,( a long time) now i simply cant cope without it, i am having pains all over my body, most notably my chest and left arm, also seriously dizzy at times, was at my doctor he checked me over, said i had good bp, and sounded me, he gave me ibupropen for the pain, but i dont think it helps the headaches..

am in a job, which i have to be up at 5.30 am in the morning and aint home till 6 in the evening, and with all this going on i have lost over a stone in weight, and am taking a least two panic attacks a day at work, my doctor has me on buspirone and citalopram, but i mite as well be taking smarties for the much use they are,am gonna have to resort to buying diazepam on the internet,to be able to function and keep my job and be half normal,

i cant live like this any longer]

sorry for the long rant,it help me get it out of my system

P.S hope you all are fighting this condition better than i am....

Hi,
Addiction to valium is not easy to overcome but it can be done. It takes time and patience which isn't easy at all. I did it and Charles Linden did it, and so can you. Did your doctor just take you off cold turkey?? Or Did he taper you off? If he took you off cold turkey it may be time to seek out another doctor.
You may try and contact an addiction Rehab centre for some advice.

How did you come off your Diazepam? Did you step withdraw it or go cold turkey? I know a lot about this subject so please let me know and I'll do my best to help.

I Glad to hear your doctor didn't pull you right off of them. I would recommend you cut your tablet by 1/4 for a period of time., then again for cut it down another 1/4 for the same period of time until you work your way off of them Totally You may want to speak with your doctor doing it this way so that you he the may agee to you still taking them twice a day until you work your off of them
