Hi folks,
I was thinking the other day about the things that I need to have with me everywhere I go. I thought it may make an amusing thread, just for a smile. So, please post your's, if you like!
Here are mine:
-The tin that holds my meds (I can't leave without these and I keep them in a mint tin so my friends don't know....but what if they want a mint??)
-My wallet (not because it contains my money or my ID, but because it holds my Health Insurance card, and what if I have a panic attack and need to go to the hospital while I'm out...)
-Whatever good-luck charm/jewelry I'm using this week (this varies sometimes as much as weekly, and it can become a good-luck piece for so little as if I have a decent day with it around once)
-Maybe some juggling balls, in case my hands need something busy to do (this is more of a "bag" item, if I'm heading to the beach or park or something)
So, that's what's in my pockets. What's in your's?
Cheers!
I never leave without my rescue remedy or at least one of my self-help books on panic attacks in my rucksack!
I'f I'm having a really bad time, I sometimes write myself a little note to put in my pocket, which says something to remind me that I'm not going to suddenly lose control wherever I may happen to be. Embarrassingly enough, one of these notes fell out of my pocket when I was at work one time and the assistant manager found it and was pretty bemused as to what this note was about. I garbled some really crap excuse, which I don't think left her any the wiser!
markyonline 19-04-05, 07:33 PM I don't carry any *amusements* or *time killers*, just mobile phone, keys, wallet, mints or gum, ciggies and lighter. Thats all! I would be too scared to pull a self help book out on the tube, scared of the strange looks I might get.
CharlesL 20-04-05, 06:18 PM I would never have left home without my mobile phone when I was anxious but I always used to carry a bottle of frozen mineral water that melted through the day so I always had a cold drink... I always carried an apple too!

Square Cherrie 20-04-05, 10:35 PM I never go anywhere without my tissue salts, rescue remedy, a bottle of water and lip ice. I have a bottle of water with me where ever i go, wether it be to the shops or to the movies and i use the lip ice to keep my mind busy cause it gives me something to do when i feel panicky... I also wear my good luck charm.

Old_Anonymous_Members 21-04-05, 07:28 AM Hello all. I keep a large purse in both cars with a water bottle, my klonopin and xanax, a granola bar, napkins and plastic bags in case I vomit, a printout of my medical profile with my recent meds, meds that failed, therapies tried and a list of symptoms in case I pass out. Also in my mobile, I keep the number of a cab company in case I drive and have a panic attack and can't make it home. I think that covers it all.
:D I'm glad I'm not the only one that carries my meds in a mint tin. Besides, it fits better in my purse.
I had definitely forgotten to list my mobile phone on my list! I never go anywhere without it! WHat if I need to call for help? Or just call a friend to chat?
And I also forgot water. I try to bring water almost everywhere...
Old_Anonymous_Members 25-04-05, 02:14 PM I never leave home without a paper bag., Im not really sure if Id actually use it though..and im pretty sure if I did use it in public ., my sons would abandon me right on the spot..I have to lol at that visual..I do beadwork so I carry a piece with me., I get very warm and the beads feel cool ..I carry cell, smokes, lighter and health card too..
Old_Anonymous_Members 21-05-05, 05:35 PM I never really thought about it before, pretty funny though now that I do. I can't leave the house without making sure i have my "pills" with me of coarse, something to snack on in case I get hypoglycemic, a tissue in my pocket in case my hands get sweaty, and ICE Water, I gotta have my water, Im always thirsty, and not having my water is just a panic attack waiting to happen. Thanks for the laugh.
