i have recently managed to cure my panic attacks but am now left with a horrible feeling of going mad.Whenever im not doing enything i.e working i have racing thoughts running through my mind and i find it hard to relax.I know distraction is the best way to stop this but how long do you distract your mind before you become phsically drained.
Any one got any tips

Hi Gaz ,glad to hear you've managed to stop the panic attacks.I know what you mean about the thoughts and relaxing ,all i try is saying 'stop' and putting myself in the 'now' ie:making a point of touching,focusing,on anything that is right with me at that moment,if its a bush than I touch it and say 'this is now' or something like that.It worked for me.
Unfortunately at the present I've had a relapse so I have to retrain myself ..I find now I'm scared of getting too happy or excited lol but this too shall pass :)
