Obsessive thinking

Hi all

i have been having obsessive thoughts for the past months, i.e. i have been troubled by even little insignificant events, like conversations, minor things, really little staff with not much importance. Basically i cannot relax, i keep on replaying thoughts and events in my head all the time... anyone suffered similarly? HWat can i do?

Hi,yes obsessive thinking has been with me for what seems like forever :) cognitive therapy helps,but I've had relapses ,.Relaxtion and meditation have worked well for me and watching out for the tell tale signs..I get very sensitive to sound ,feel irritated by the smallest thing ,start to loose interest and confidence..catastrophe thinking kicks in.Breathing techniques help a lot and reading 'mind over mood' to help me get back on track.

What's happened in the past is gone for good, never to be repeated. Memories are all in your mind. The past may be horrible, but it's gone now, look forward to a great future & not the horrible past.:)
