Hi! this is Theresa... but I'm at work and haven't signed on to this thing. I have a question about Zoloft. Has anyone ever come off of it after using it for about 6-7 years? I started to have bad panic attacks recently, and then just felt completely out of control....sort of like a bad trip. I called my doctor and he suggested to get off the zoloft...which I am doing.. but I feel so weird.. like.. mentally unstable.. could I be going crazy? Are the chemicals in my brain all messed up? Is this a normal feeling I feel like I'm jumping out of my sking.. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are not going crazy. These feelings are normal feelings when coimg off of medication..
the "Linden Method" explains this very well.
Are you reducing the Zolt slowly?

Hi Lisa, it's Theresa.. Yes I am reducing it slowly.. cuting it in half each week and in about a week i will be off of it completely. will this maddening feeling come to an end when the medication does?
Hi Thersa,
I don't know. I think the reasons you took it in the first place will have to be dealt with, drugs only ever mask the symptoms.
there are things that you can do to deal with the anxiety that will really be helpful.
