I have stopped taking medication fro depression/anxiety about 3 weeks ago. I always had side effects the whole 7 months that I was taking them. I wonder how if any one knows how long it takes to get them out of your system totally. I do feel better not taking them bit still don't feel as well as i would like, I feel confused as I don't why i feel as i do I assumed it is still the anxiety as the tablets are not a cure just a bit of help when I needed it. In hindsight I don't think I would have taken the tablets if I knew how bad they would make me feel. I would be interested to know how any one else feels about this.
I stopped taking anti depressants 10 months ago after 8 years of taking them I had 2 gradually come off them over a period of weeks Im not sure how long it would take for them to get out of your system but I know that I have a clearer head since I stopped taking them

It's so odd that everyone is talking about this right now because it's exactly what I needed to read. I am in the middle of coming off of Zoloft. I was on it for about 6-7 years and it's going to take me 2 weeks to come off of them. I feel like everythign around me is fake. It's not a full blown panic attack, just a feeling that everything is surreal... like I'm on a bad acid trip.. (which is probably what got me into this anxiety situation in the first place) I know it is just the chemicals in my brain messing with m e.. but I just wish that it would all end... AHHHH IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, A few WEEKS *only*? Seems rather little. Yes, medication is sympthomatic masking, the problem is still going to be there once u come off the medication. Maybe u'll feel handling it better if u take the approach of coming off them a little slower?
