Has anyone seen Matchstick Men with Nick Cage? I loved it because it reminded me of me when I was anxious! It's the movie every anxiety sufferer should watch! Inspirational!

Horror films seem to help me relax. I know thats crazy but it is real life and real situations that cause anxiety for me. Demon possession and axe wielding lunatics are scary but in a different way. Of course there are axe wielding lunatics in the real world from time to time but i dont believe in demon possession(no offense to anyone who does). Replacing my anxiety with a movie that is over the top with gore and violence seems to give me a balance for some strange reason.

Ive been watching horror films since ive been very young(probably too young) and so i think i feel a certain security while watching them. Its also nice to know that horror films dont freak me out like some people. I guess maybe i feel like "Wow, its one thing that others are afraid of that i am not afraid of instead of the other way around".

I also like Family Guy, The Simpsons, MSNBC(if it aint happening on my street im not usually not anxious about it), Yes Dear, Seinfeld, The Drew Carey Show, and Malcom in the Middle.

Some of a favorite non horror films to watch are:

Pulp Fiction
The Big Lebowski
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

I wont mention the horror films i do like to watch as i dont want to put any bad images into anyones head.

Favorite movie of all time is American Beauty. I became so wrapped up in how well directed and acted this movie was that I watched it more than several times. When I referred a friend to it, I had forgotten just how "weird" the story is. Great movie all around!

Love Actually is one of mine. Makes me cry in places but uplifts me with the power of love.

The Peter Pan film is another - full of magic.

Sorry but it has to be Richard Gere in An Officer and A Gentleman ;)

On any bad day any Hillary Duff film takes me back to my teen years and safety and all of them are great! At the moment the "movie of the moment" at home is High School Musical! which does lift my mood!:)
