I have posted a message about my situation already. The question I have though is what do I do when the medication seems to only work part of the time? I am already taking .25mg everynight before I go to bed. I get very shaky inside and feel like I'm about to fall apart at times. The attakcs aren't as severe as they use to be but the minor ones arre still scary. What might help me?

I wish i had the answer charity! I thought i would reply just to let you know i feel the same, i am on medication at night as well but have been having panic attacks for about 8 months now, they are not quite as bad but i suffer with anxiety too, probably because i am always thinking of how i am going to be will i have an attack etc........... I hate going out on my own and would often not go out at all if i had to go alone i do have a lot of support but just want to be "normal" again. I think all you can do is try to face it and fight it easier said than done i know. At least you know it's not just you that does help me when i think i am never going to be right again ...............
Charity, I too understand what your going through. I think there are certain things, that do help.
Personally, i find keeping myself occupied helps. Too much time on my hands, makes me think too much.
I'd also recommend talking to someone about how your feeling, whether that be a help line, a loved one or a friend. It helps you to share your feelings and makes you feel less alone.
I'd also look at your diet. Sometimes we are deficient in certain minerals and vitamins. Most people who suffer from anxiety or depression are deficient in b vitamins and magnesium. I'm no expert, but i'd definitely look into food nutrition.
I'd also try to exercise. It releases 'feel good' chemicals into the brain.
Try not to put pressure on yourself.
Be kind to yourself. Treat yourself as you would your best friend.
Don't be ashamed of the way you feel. There are people who you would never think of, going through exactly what your going through.
Hope some of this helps.
